In the summer, the area of Spindleruv Mlyn offers you more than 180 kilometers of hiking trails. Enthusiastic tourists can try hiking trails that start on tops of the cableways of Medvedin and Saint Peter. For bikers, there are about 100km of bike trails.
Labská dam provides ideal conditions for fishing from the start of May until the end of August. Those with greater cold resistance can swim in the dam and also there is a possibility of hiring a boat. In spring, there are great conditions for rafting too.
The Medvedin chairlift
The four-seat chairlift from Spindleruv Mlyn leading to the Bear mountain (Medvědín) in 1235 m.a.s.l. is the starting point for a variety of hikes and excursions. At Medvědín, there are two new playgrounds. Your kids will love it and you can have a cup of coffee in a lovely restaurant with breathtaking views.
From the peak of Medvědín you can hike all the way to the spring of Elbe. Medvědín is also the ideal starting point for paragliding.
The Svaty Petr chairlift
If you take the six-chair lift RWE line from Svaty Petr to Upper plateau (Horni Planina) to the altitude of 1198 meters, you will be amazed by the beautiful panorama not only of the valley of Spindleruv Mlyn but also of the entire surrounding landscape. There you can have a brunch on the peak of the mountain, at the terrace of a panoramic restaurant. Nearby the restaurant "Na Plani," your children can play on the playground. After a lot of fun and a delicious brunch, you can access one of our natural trails leading downhill back to Svaty Petr.
Hiking & Biking
For mountain biking in the Giant Mountains there are 27 bicycle routes. If you like hills with occasional climbs and long descents, unforgettable views and beautiful scenery, the Giant Mountains and bike trails are exactly for you. In the area of Krkonose, from late May to late September you can transport bikes in buses. You can rent a mountain bike here, if you don’t bring your own.
Hiking for the Little Ones
For families with children, the ski area prepared 4 educational trails. Trails start on tops of Medvedin and Svaty Petr. Do not hesitate and go for it! At Medvedin, you can take the Bear route (8,6km) and read a story about the last bear named Meďánek. You can also enjoy the trail leading from Medvedin to Spindleruv Mlyn, where you can learn the story of Krakonos on the trail that is 9,5km long. Do you want to be forest detective and learn to read the spoors? The Spoor trail (7,7km) brings it to you. You will learn a lot about the plants of Giant Mountains on Moss path (3,8km). The Spoor trail and Krakonos story trail are both wheel chair and stroller accessible.
Mountain Tricycles
You can rent tricycles at the top of Medvedin’s chairlift. The price includes the rent of a tricycle and a helmet. The way starts from Medvedin, where you drive along the marked route. Tricycles are for people taller than 140 cm. Mountain carts are possible to rent until 4pm.
Kick Scooter Track
We arrange the downhill ride from Spindlerova bouda to the center of Spindleruv Mlyn on road kick scooters with full service. Transport will take you from the square in Spindleruv Mlyn to Spindlerova bouda, where you will borrow a kick scooter and a helmet. The 10 km ride back to the town center is then only up to you. The kick scooters are intended for not only adults, but also for children from 6 years of age.
Trip on Road Kick Scooters to Vrchlabi
Another option is an outing on the kick scooter to Vrchlabi with a ride to Plane by aerial lift and then a ride down into Vrchlabi and transportation back to Spindleruv Mlyn. Alternatively, this trip can also be combined with the aerial lift to Zaly, where there is a stone look-out tower.
Terénní tříkolky

Bobsleigh Track
Enjoy 22 turns, 5 terrain edges, and three tunnels. It is a truly remarkable driving experience, the speed, which everyone chooses according to their ability, enhanced by the beautiful surrounding panorama of the Giant Mountains. The single or double bobsleds are for anyone 8 years of age and up. Children under 8 years of age must be supervised by their parents. Thanks to the good lighting of the bobsleigh track, it is operated even late after sunset.
Horseback Riding
Make your dream come true – tour the beauty of the Giant Mountains on horseback, because the world is best viewed from the saddle! We offer rides on horseback over natural terrain for advanced riders in an English or Western saddle. We organize day-long outings in the Giant Mountain Foothills with prior arrangement. A half-day program can be combined with other activities such as climbing, an outing on bikes, zip line rides or abseiling.
Tennis courts Svaty Petr
Tennis courts are placed close to the six-chair lift RWE line in Svaty Petr. There are 3 tennis areolas that can also be used for volleyball or football tennis. Quality tennis courts are taken care of daily and prepared to perfection for you. Do not hesitate to contact the reception for making a tennis court reservation.

Quad Bikes
Some people walk, some people travel by train and some people travel by a horse-drawn carriage. But what about a tour of Spindleruv Mlyn on a quad bike? We have prepared a 1-hour outing for you through the streets of this mountain town. Zip Line
This is a 120 m long ride along the embankment of the Labská dam, 25 meters above the ground. Adrenaline, speed, height and a unique view of the focal point of Spindleruv Mlyn and the Elbe River. Will you be brave enough to try one of the most adrenaline fuelled attractions?
The zip line station is located by the car park at the edge of the only access road to the center of Spindleruv Mlyn, right by the Labská dam.
Monkey Park
The local Monkey Park is the longest rope park in the Giant Mountains. It is 432 meters long and it has 32 obstacles, up to 8 meters above the ground. The Monkey Park is situated right below the bobsleigh track, so you can have fun the entire afternoon. The park is intended for the general public, including children taller than 140cm.
Climbing
Under the supervision of qualified climbing instructors, you will be acquainted with the basics and rules of rock climbing. Advanced climbers will appreciate the instructor’s expertise and professionalism. You will get all the required equipment of the highest quality.
Tandem Paragliding
Just start running and your last step will be in the air. While you are flying, you are sitting in a comfortable seat with foamy pads on the bottom. You can talk during the flight with the pilot, take photos, film, or just enjoy a breathtaking view. It is not limited by age, only by the weight (15 to 120 kg). The instructor chooses the area according to weather conditions. The takeoff locations are Medvedin, Na Plani (Spindleruv Mlyn) and Janske Lazne.
Adventure park
The adventure park is located approximately 300 meters from hotel Savoy. There you can have fun with your children or your friends. After this great experience, we recommend you to go to a nearby log cabin to reward yourself with a delicious meal and a drink.
Giant swing

Climbing Wall
Whether you decide to come with your friends, your family or just by yourself, you can experience the natural magic and excitement of climbing the artificial climbing wall. Professional equipment and trained instructors will take care of your safety and make sure you enjoy a thrilling experience.
Climbing Net
The rope wall will test your skills. You can improve your agility and motor skills under the supervision of experienced instructors. The net serves as the ideal introduction to climbing – it gives you confidence to make the most difficult ascents. Overcome the net and you will be ready for the climbing wall.
Bungee Trampoline
Try some acrobatics on the bungee trampoline. You are attached to the bungee cords the entire time, which means you cannot jump off the trampoline. Concentrate only on your performance. Can you last the full ten minutes?
Children’s rope castle, petanque, cricket
Towers, rope bridges, inclined walls, swings, climbing wall, net and plenty of fun. The castle is also enhanced with additional activities – Frisbees, throwing balls at figurines, zigzag, jumping and any others your child’s imagination permits.
